A PLEASURE TO SERVE

An occaision arose,
That I would serve,
The needs of my fellow pilgrims,
As we walked into the evening,
Still miles to go.

Using my tongue and thy cheeky nature,
I was able to secure a favour,
From a pilgrim of old.

This Angel helped us,
And in doing so, restored faith,
In us, one and all.

My friends now tired,
Once again required me, to secure,
Travel and lodging for the evening.

Yet not I,
But a collection of strange events.
Leading us to an end which,
Brought peace to us weary pilgrims.

But the priviledge was mine.
To have served,
An honour...
