Around the curve on to the brow,
Of a hillock came I, and friends alike.
To see a fence adorned in praise,
A glory of travellers young and old,
Giving thanks for their perseverance,
And joy, a memory too, to those now gone.
I cried a little at the awesomeness
of the road that has lead, to find this place
And in so doing I released a hope,
Of seeing all those, who triumphantly,
Had done the road that leads us into sun.
A warmth created far beyond the rays,
That fills us with our songs of praise.
To unknown friends, those yet to meet.
Oh blessed fence of memory,
Let us not fail, that we can see,
The place to which this journeys end
Upon this road, our greatest friend.
To see a fence adorned in praise,
A glory of travellers young and old,
Giving thanks for their perseverance,
And joy, a memory too, to those now gone.
I cried a little at the awesomeness
of the road that has lead, to find this place
And in so doing I released a hope,
Of seeing all those, who triumphantly,
Had done the road that leads us into sun.
A warmth created far beyond the rays,
That fills us with our songs of praise.
To unknown friends, those yet to meet.
Oh blessed fence of memory,
Let us not fail, that we can see,
The place to which this journeys end
Upon this road, our greatest friend.
